**Definition**: The expression ''(s DUR t)'' specifies the duration ''t'' or temporal continuance of an event ''s'', or the period of time ''t'' when a state ''s'' persists. In connection with objects, it is used to specify the duration of existence.

**Example**: 
   The train to Baltimore was standing at the station for the whole night.
