In these lectures and the lab session, we will focus on how we can make
existing resources of discourse annotations inter-operable. During the
lectures, we will discuss the PDTB, RST and SDRT frameworks, and how these
relate to and differ from each other. Next, we will present the Unifying
Dimensions proposal, which can be used to “translate” relation labels from
one framework to another. In the lab session, we will annotate a few
relations using the different frameworks, to demonstrate how such a
mapping would work in practice.
