OBJ: Neutral Object as Participant

Definition: The assertion (s OBJ b) represents the connection between a situation s and an object b that is independent of s. b is actually involved in the situation s (generally an event), but it is neither physically changed (in contrast to AFF) nor is it a beneficiary of s (in contrast to BENF). It is important for a demarcation between OBJ and MCONT that b exist independently of s in the case of OBJ (or, if s is a situation, that b persist independently of s). For perceptual events or states also elements of sort si can be used as the second argument of OBJ.
